We had a much needed and well deserved slow start to the day.
We
eventually ambled off to the outlet shopping mall to find a shirt for John and
some comfortable shoes for Erin. The
first part was easy; the second part not so. The only flat shoes we found had
paper-thin soles. So, off to Eastland
Shopping Centre we went – and successfully accomplished our mission.
Back
at Ringwood we enjoyed a scrumptious lunch and then all had an attempt at an
afternoon nap. Tonight’s flight leaves
at 1.25am, so we were expecting to feel a bit droopy by then.
After
naps, we headed off to Ascot Vale for dinner with the family (13 of us!). It was great to catch up with everyone and we
all ate more than was good for us. (Or I
could possibly be just speaking for myself).
Lindsay
and Gus then dropped us off at the airport where we went through all the
tedious procedures. We’re now sitting
with giant cups of tea waiting for our boarding call. Getting closer!
